I usually go for breakfast so I don’t always get there lunch/dinner items. But they have good quality, bar/diner style breakfast options. Breakfast sandwiches, the usual breakfast meats, omelettes. Nothing special, but still good. The biggest draw for a night shift worker like myself: a full service bar from open to close. A go-to after work spot for myself and my coworkers. I have had their pizza (for dine-in breakfast and ordered to go) and it is always yummy. A sweeter tasting sauce than you’d get almost anywhere else. But it’s delicious and it works. The vibes are relaxed and chill. The bar area is clean and the dining room is spacious.

Best pizza place in Columbus since 1939. Moderately priced pizza, appetizers, menu specials, and drinks. The service is always great. I've never had a bad experience at Planks, ever. Great place to watch sports or any Ohio State Buckeyes game!!

The bratwurst was dried out and shriveled up, not much to write home about there. Sauerkraut and German potato salad was on point though. The pizza is still the spotlight here, and objectively what you should be focused on if you visit. Heed my infinite wisdom

First time trying Plank’s! Really good pie, we had a large pep and sausage. Super sweet, almost tasted like it had a hot honey glaze on it. Paired well with a side of ranch. Glad I finally got to stop by, will be back!

Loved it the moment my friend and I walked in. Very inviting, polite and respectful, our pizzas were out of this world. Definitely recommend this place. Will be returning again soon.

I'm originally from Central Ohio and was back visiting for a class reunion. The night before I was flying back to Florida, one of my friends suggested we grab dinner. There is a big private parking lot, so we didn't have to drive around looking for parking. She said Planks had the best pizza. Of course whenever anyone tells me a place has "the best," I am skeptical. Well, Planks DOES have the best pizza ! We got a large pepperoni. The thin crust was wonderful and slightly sweet thanks to the corn meal. The sauce was also slightly sweet with no acidity. Service was attentive without being pesty. My ice tea was refilled as soon as the glass reached half full. We sat in a booth and were able to watch USA basketball in the Olympics on one of the many flat screens. It was not crowded and was not loud. I will definitely be returning here when I am back in Central Ohio.

I'm not sure how I've never been to Planks, but I had not. I stopped in with a friend after another event in the area. On a Thursday night ~8 PM, it was pretty quiet and we got a seat at the bar. The bartender took our orders, handed us a menu, and asked if we wanted anything particular on the TV. Since it was a quiet evening, the bar staff were moving around and restocking their area and chatting with us and it was super laid back. I tried one of the small pizzas and it was pretty darn good. Plenty of cheese and veggies, cut Columbus style, and actually enough sauce (I love extra sauce on pizza). The sauce is on the sweet side. I haven't had a sweeter pizza sauce in a while, so loaded it up with crushed red peppers and gobbled it down. The only slightly odd bit is that I did not see an itemized receipt. My total seemed a bit high for the pizza and one drink, but it was good and I'll swing through again if I'm in the area. Cool fact - they deliver anywhere within 270, with a sliding delivery fee (between like $3 and $7 location dependent) and the delivery fee goes to the drivers!
